I made Freaky Fast F1 BX by backcrossing Freakshow with my A plant that starts flowering independently of the length of the day. autoflowering ↗ Freaky Ryder line. Freaky Ryder's pedigree already includes Freakshow and Lowryder Inbred Line: a line selected over generations to reproduce particular traits consistently. IBL ↗. The backcross returns these genetics to Freakshow and produces a fast-flowering photoperiod branch of the family.
In this line, I retained the pinnate leaf form: Freakshow's narrow, deeply divided leaflets. Doctor's Choice describes medium-to-tall plants with a dominant central cola, medium internodes and closely spaced flowers. The flowers are dense and heavily covered in trichomes.
Flowering depends on the photoperiod and takes 57-65 days. In this cross, I combined the characteristic Freakshow leaf with a shorter flowering period. The aroma is pine-and-floral and fruity, with light gas and citrus notes.
F1 BX denotes the first hybrid generation of the backcross. Doctor's Choice releases the Regular seeds can produce both male and female plants. regular ↗ version in collaboration with me.
