About the strain
Fastberry Bastard combines the Blueberry Bastard F4 mother from 7East Genetics with my A plant that starts flowering independently of the length of the day. autoflowering ↗ Bastard Ryder. It is a photoperiod The first generation from a cross between two parents. F1 ↗ hybrid, a fast version: the autoflowering genetics come from the father, while the hybrid itself remains photoperiod-dependent.
Both parent lines carry ABC leaves. On the young mother plants in DC's selection, the leaves were already small, glossy and without serrations. The catalog describes Fastberry Bastard as a short-to-medium, compact bush. A dense, compact structure is also noted in the description of the Blueberry Bastard F4 mother.
I contributed my Bastard Ryder line, with Drunken Bastard × Lowryder genetics, to this cross. The blueberry aroma comes from both sides. Fastberry Bastard has a creamy, blueberry-yogurt aroma with sour fruit and earthy notes.
The Doctor's Choice team selected the mother plants from October 2025 to February 2026. The spring seed run produced F1 seeds from Blueberry Bastard F4 and Bastard Ryder. Doctor's Choice also handles the release, in Regular seeds can produce both male and female plants. regular ↗ and Feminized seeds are produced to give female plants. feminized ↗ versions.
