History
Phytoplant Research found a variegated branch on a Pilar plant in a greenhouse, isolated it and fixed it by vegetative propagation. In 2018 Divina received plant breeder's rights protection at the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) as one of the first cannabis varieties; a US plant patent followed later. Compared with Pilar, Divina has less chlorophyll in the leaves, slower growth and shorter plants.
