Description and facts
Funky Bastard is a hybrid by the US shop-breeder Variant's Corner made from Binchicken material: BTK Angry x (Grape Crinkle Freak x (HooDoo x Feral Jelly)). About half of the plants show ABC leaves; the rest have deeply serrated, larger than average leaves.

History
The owner of Variant's Corner distributes Binchicken's seeds in the USA and releases their own crosses made from that material. Funky Bastard continues the large-leaf ABC work started with HooDoo x Feral Jelly, with Grape Crinkle Freak added for the Freakshow trait. The father passes on large leaves and a 'gator scale' leaf pattern, and in crosses with Freakshow lines also the Freak trait.

In my Drunken Bastard × Freakshow cross, the ABC leaf was recessive: ordinary leaves prevailed in F1, and variation returned in F2.
