Fermentation Fizz is a Gas Lab Genetics hybrid of Berry Melon Soda (Watermelon Soda #2 x Berryfreak V2) and Freak of Nature. According to the breeder, the plants include several phenotypes with a mutant leaf, among them an indica-type fern leaf.

According to Gas Lab Genetics, the breeder obtained the Berry Melon Soda female from Canna Research and bred the Freak of Nature male from Freakshow x Purple Jello Pie. The breeder also uploaded photos of Fermentation Fizz seedlings with pinnate leaves to the SeedFinder gallery.
